Purpose
Each KMF Leadership Grant recognizes a public health student leader, recommended by his/her department, who is seeking support in at least one of the following areas:
- *pursuing or completing his/her education
- *attending a public health field event or conference
- *pursuing an individual field project related to public health
PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU ARE A PROFESSOR INTERESTED TO NOMINATED A STUDENT, PLEASE SEND US AN EMAIL AND WE WILL SEND MORE INFORMATION.
Amount
Each KMF Leadership Grant is set between $100 and $500 of financial support, as determined by the selection committee in review of the application.
Timeline
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Applicants will be notified of a final decision by email or phone—please note in your application if the funding request is urgent. Recipients will be announced on the website and in KMF communications thereafter.
Process
To apply for a KMF Leadership Grant, please complete in full the embedded application document below, and upload the required documents.
Incomplete applications will not be considered. It is the responsibility of the applicant to submit a complete application.
All applications must be submitted online. There is no “hard copy” application option for a KMF Leadership Grant.
The application below requires applicants to submit three documents in Adobe Portable Document (PDF) format only, so applicants are encouraged to check in advance that they have the capability to convert files to the, or work in, the PDF format. Materials
In the application below, applicants must complete all of the following:
- Personal and Educational Information, typed directly into the form.
- Upload, where indicated, a Statement Of Interest, “describing your interest in international public health, the proposed project, and how you intend to carryout that experience.” The statement must be formatted in PDF format only.
- Upload, where indicated, a copy of your personal resume in PDF format only.
- Upload, where indicated, a letter of reference from a sponsoring faculty member in PDF format only.
