On Saturday, October 24, 2009, friends, family members, supporters, and strangers braved the cold and rain to celebrate KMF’s work and race around the Sun Lake Forest Preserve near Katie’s hometown of Antioch, IL.

The generosity of big-hearted racers, alongside Cengage’s generosity, made the event a major fundraiser for KMF projects in only it’s second year!

The 2008 KMF Fun Run & Walk

On October 25, 2008, over 100 people gathered in the Sun Lake Forest Preserve in Lake Villa, IL, to participate in the KMF Fun Run & Walk.

The rain held off as friends, family, neighbors, and newcomers watched and participated in the 100m Kids’ Race and the 5K Fun Run & Walk.

Participants and onlookers learned more about KMF’s mission and vision, its current projects, and its upcoming year.
